Police Station Support Coordinators [PSSC] ensure arrested rebels are met on release by Police Station Supporters (PSSs), by creating a rota for PSSs and offering them advice and information.

Liaison with PSSs takes place via WhatsApp or Signal groups, and occasionally by phone. Arrestees can be held in custody for 24 hours after being checked in at a police station, so we need to try to ensure supporters are available throughout this period (there is usually a time gap between arrestees arriving at a station and being checked in).

This map is used by PSSCs to find Police Stations. When arrests take place, the PSSC joins the station and then manages a rota within the station chat. here to join the Whatsapp chat(s) for a Police Station(s).
When PSS volunteers are needed for a Police Station then the PSSC will call out for PSSs on the Whatsapp chat for that station.
If you want to volunteer for this role, please join this Signal group XR Back Office New Volunteers and message in there, then the Coordinators will pick you up and offer training.

Further Information
Police Station Supporters [PSS] are part of Back Office and greet released arrestees at the Police Station. The PSS volunteers work in shifts, providing emotional and practical support at the point of release, and collecting data for ongoing post-arrest support (with consent).
