This role has Volunteer Living Expenses (VLE) support attached.

You'll be supported and buddied up with existing and / or previous coordinators, so you won't be thrown into the deep end. There is scope to share this role too.

In Extinction Rebellion Cymru, our Actions Circle do what their name suggests; they get actions going and oversee the health and functioning of the Action Circle and its sub-circles.

You will be stewarding the team's immediate and longer-term priorities and support team members to achieve those priorities.

• Ensure Actions Team meetings happen as agreed by the team, via Big Blue Button, Zoom or other platforms.
• As the IC is accountable for maintaining the health of the team, that is helped by you facilitating the group agreeing on a consensual way to organise meetings within the Actions Team.
• Facilitate, maintain and build a healthy and resilient Actions team through:
• - Ensure actions volunteers are effectively trained.
• - Actions achieve impacts volunteers can feel good about.
• - Ensuring Actions Support Crew recruitment is supported.
• Help Local Groups and Working Groups stay well connected to the Actions Circle, collaborating with the Garddwr (Gardener) and group Coordinators.
• Attend relevant meetings of other circles, such as Cymru Mycelium to ensure effective comm’s planning for upcoming actions.
• Stay abreast of relevant XR training, alongside relevant protest law changes to understand implications of activities or seek advice when needed from our legal advisors.
• Ensure actions risks are well communicated to actions volunteers and the movement generally.
• Work with the External Actions Coordinator, or stepping into the breach to attend UK Actions meetings if necessary.
• Hold the Group Admin role if no-one else is in place.
• Remain aware of what is happening in the wider organism, particularly in terms of strategy.
• Propose roles and projects the Cymru Wales Action Circle needs · Support the work of role-holders and sub-circles and review their work at regular intervals.
