Meeting Schedule:Attend occasional meetings of XRUK Digital Coordinators and it's sub-groups but other hours flexible.
Essential Skills:Organised
Able to work with spreadsheets
A basic knowledge of budgeting
Desired Skills: A background in budgeting or finance would be great, but not essential as you will receive full training.
Accessibility considerations:Need to verbally communicate and use Zoom and a computer.

XRUK's Digital team provides and supports our XRUK website and communications channels, responds to queries and problems from anyone in XRUK, ensures GDPR compliance and keeps aware of new developments.
Budgets are straightforward, consisting primarily of Volunteers' Living Expenses (VLE or CCFB if self-employed) and software licences.
You will be working with the coordinators from 5 Digital teams producing very occasional budget requests for approval by the Integrated Budget Group (IBG).

Main tasks:

  • Creating a new movement (regular monthly expenditure) budget every 6 months, with help from Digital coordinators.
  • Creating very occasional budgets for new projects.
  • Allocating and approving expenses such as VLE or CCFB for members of Digital.
  • Tracking money spent each month on expenses for Digital.
  • Reporting back to the IBG about what money was spent and what the money achieved, to help with reports back to our funders.
  • Having an overview of the finances for Digital and keeping the team informed of spending and what money is available.
  • Liaise with the coordinators within the Digital sub-circles where help or guidance are needed.
  • Attend XRUK's budget holder training and keep in close communication with XRUK Finance and the IBG to keep up to date with developments and changes.

Implementing, through the collective decision of its subcircles, tactical plans to execute XRUK Strategy. Supporting its subcircles to fulfill their mandates and tactical plans through individual subcircle and build cross-circle projects. Supporting its subcircles in the decentralisation of its teams where possible.
