Meeting Schedule: To attend the Tuesday meetings when possible, other hours are flexible
Essential Skills: Digital and social media literate. Good communication skills. Highly motivated. Organised and able to work independently.
Desired Skills: Creative and Graphic Design skills. Be able to produce original ideas. Possess a solid knowledge of marketing competencies
Accessibility considerations: Zoom - the meeting format will have live captions

Digital Rebellion (DR) are planning to extend their Social Media profile by further developing their existing Social Media platforms - Telegram, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram - and extending their reach into other platforms - e.g. TikTok and Mastadon.

We are looking for a number of Social Media literate people to take on this development work for a single platform.

The role responsibilities will include:

  • Content development
  • Posting of DR and XRUK content
  • Content curation and moderation of the platform as needed

Time commitment

The time commitment will be 2-4 hours per week and there will be flexibility about when the work is done to fit with individual schedules. These roles will be key in building an engaged following of digital rebels; and we are looking for people who are willing to invest time to engage a large and active community online.

There will be full support, and training as needed, for new team members.

Digital Rebellion work closely with XRUK Media and Messaging (M&M)teams. The DR Social Media platforms will promote XR UK and DR campaigns that support the delivery of XRUK's strategic objectives.

Tearing down barriers and empowering all people, including those traditionally excluded from physical protest, to take part in the rebellion. Recruiting Digital Rebels and giving them the skills and confidence to take meaningful, impactful, and coordinated action online. Supporting the movement to design and deploy effective digital actions Sharing knowledge about effective digital activism to help Digital Rebels move from ‘lone voice’ to ‘heavenly chorus’
