This role is integral to supporting events across XR North!
The key role of the Event Coordinator is to initiate and organise events across the region. E.g. aiming for four events a year, one per season, a mix of Regenerative Cultures, talks & training and socials. Events can be coordinated in combination with regional/national actions and would include low risk protest type events to bring together harder-to-reach groups.
Accountabilities include:
- Liaising with the XR North Talks & Training Coordinator.
- Liaising with the XR North Gardener to support Local Groups to develop their events regionally.
- Work within the Anchor North group to communicate and publicise event requirements to social media, press, newsletters, Action Network [emails] and website teams.
- Working towards making events accessible and inclusive.
