Essential Skills: | Basic tech and administration skills, good communication and listening, and enjoys group work, organised, good at working out priorities |
Desired Skills: | Facilitation skills, experience coordinating or working as part of a community, activist and/or local group, experience representing others, understanding of XR London and of the structure of XRUK |
Accessibility considerations: | This role can be shared, skill share sessions can be provided if needed. On starting the role there will be a hand over with the current External Coordinator to share top tips! People applying from marginalised groups can apply for VLE to support them in the role. |
The External Coordinator (EC) for London represent the hearts and minds of the London Local Group Coordinator Circle and London Working Groups within XRUK.
As a communication bridge between XRUK and XR London, the role involves passing information in both directions, attending UK Hive meetings and London Local Group Coordinator Circle meetings.
The Hive is the widest circle in XRUK. It is made up of External Coordinators from regions and nations across the UK, and from key XR UK circles, such as Systems and Culture and Operations. It helps provide Governance and facilitate communication across XRUK.

As External Coordinator for XR London you are accountable to the London Borough Coordinator Circle.

You will be supported in this role by the London Development team, and the current London EC will be there to do a handover.
You need to be able to attend the following meetings each week (or half of these if done as a role share):
This role is for a term of 6 months and would be ideal as a role share.
