Media & Messaging External Coordinator Role description: Working closely with the Media and Messaging working group's internal coordinators and subgroup coordinators, the external coordinator represents the group throughout the XR organism. The external coordinator ensures information flows between the group and the movement's various circles and working groups. This role works well as a job share between two people. External coordinator core duties: - Representing the working group in throughout the movement, attending regular meetings including: - M&M coordinators - Operations Circle - Actions Circle - UK Movement Communications - Actions Carousel - Representing M&M on the Strategy team (whether that's in meetings or feeding back on documents) - Editorial team: helping with overall messaging for the movement, writing content for outreach materials and the website. - Finding a replacement to represent the group in the wider circle meeting if they can’t attend - Managing information flow between this group and others as necessary - Assisting the internal coordinator(s) if they are away or over capacity - Main point of contact for other working groups and circles that want to speak to the M&M working group - Reporting back from other circles and working groups in the weekly Monday morning M&M meeting - Dealing with tensions and challenges arising in which M&M has a stake or plays a role
