XRUK Transformative Conflict (TC) is looking for a new External Coordinator (EC). The purpose of the EC role is to represent the team to the broader circle and in the case of the TC EC that means the XRUK Systems and Cultures (S&C) Circle. TC meets once a week on Thursdays 14.00-15-00. S&C meets once a week on Wednesdays 10.00-12.00. Accountabilities include: Representing the mandate of the team within meetings of the broader circle, and asking another member of the team to attend when they’re not available. Communicating the plan and work of the broader circle to the team. Reporting on the health of the team to the broader circle. Taking issues that can’t be resolved in the team to the broader circle. Exchanging information with other teams (not their own sub-circles) where this is not already being done by link roles. TC's EC has a voting seat at S&C and the role is a real opportunity to have an impact on the circle and the wider movement. The role will suit someone who is familiar with different areas of the movement, who is organised and a great communicator. We are committed to instilling a regenerative culture in our ways of working and support job sharing for this role. If there is more than one suitable applicant an election will be held on Thursday 30 November. Applications will close the day before, on 29 November.
This role is being advertised by the following working group:
Location: XR UK (UK Wide)
We are a small team who strive to encourage healthy ways of working that develop resilience and reduce the risk of conflict, but who find creative ways of tending to conflict when it does arise. We provide a 'holding space' for both interpersonal and systemic tensions that arise within the movement and in doing so we develop a wide-ranging view of the needs of the movement going forward. We provide support for each other as a team and continuously seek to improve the service we provide.
