Purpose of the role: Ensure that the South East is represented within the wider movement circle (HIVE) of XRUK. To be the communications bridge between the South East local groups and the wider XRUK movement. Role Description: You’d be part of a small friendly group who work together to support local groups in the South East region. We meet regularly to share successes, collaborate on projects or actions and learn from each other. The meeting times are fixed but other activities can be done when suits as required. As this role is a link role to the wider circle you can find out more on XR UKs structure and mandates here - https://organism.extinctionrebellion.uk/?id=35 This is an important link role that helps to build and maintain the strength of the movement in the South East. As such you will need to have a good understanding of how XR works and be vouched for by known members. The role has an initial term of 3 months. Support and shadowing will be given. The role will be shared with one other person with a division of the accountabilities below. Role Accountabilities: Participate in 1 or 2 bi-weekly Zoom Regional meetings with the External Coordinators of all the local groups. Held to share successes, wider circle information and to collaborate to solve issues and help build the region (1 hour/meeting) Collate the activities of the South East to share with the wider circle Participate in 1 or 2 weekly wider circle meetings on Zoom (2 hours/meeting) Take issues that cannot be resolved in the Region to the wider circle meetings Communicate the plan and work of the wider circle to the Regional meetings Work as part of the South east Regional Anchor circle to build the health of the movement in the SE
