The Hive provides governance to Extinction Rebellion UK, in line with its Constitution and Self-Organising System.
Purpose of the Minute-taker role
Accurate minutes are taken that reflect the information shared and decisions made in Hive meetings.
Accountabilities
- Recording who is present in the meeting and what roles they hold
- Recording the conversations in the meeting, in verbatim or summarised form as appropriate to the topic, or at the request of the speaker.
- Recording decisions made by the circle, including how the decision was made (by IDM, majority temperature check, etc), how the roles voted if requested, and the outcome.
- Recording action points.
- Maintaining objectivity and neutrality, avoiding personal opinions or biases.
- Being aware of consent and confidentiality; stopping minuting as necessary.

Accessibility considerations
Training will be provided. A good internet connection is essential. You will be using XR UK's communication platforms (the Hub and Mattermost).
