The role can be held by one individual. Role share is encouraged.

Purpose
Stewarding the team's immediate and longer-term priorities and supporting team members to achieve those priorities.
Accountabilities
Managing information flow within the team as needed.
Listening to feedback from team members and offering feedback to role fillers.
Asking role-fillers to leave a role if they are not fulfulling their role's mandate.
Scheduling meetings if there is no-one in the Secretary role.
Representing the team in the wider circle if the External Coordinator is unable to attend.
Action Circle accountabilities
Designing an action strategy in line with XR’s overall strategy and principles and values. Designing specific national action projects and deciding on actions going ahead (including Rebellion dates). Overseeing those action projects to make sure they are functioning well and working together.
Creating direct communication lines for taking feedback on all national action projects we propose, with: Movement Circle, Political Circle, Media and Messaging, Regenerative Culture. And, if relevant with: Relationships, XR Youth, Internationalist Solidarity, International Support and International Context Link, Communities.
Receiving action proposals from across the movement, and taking forward those in line with UK-wide strategy, if we have resources available.
Supporting and empowering rebels across the movement (including local groups and affinity groups) to take non-violent direct action with guidance, training and advice.
Enabling rebels to participate in an informed way in actions (self-responsibility, legal implications, security considerations).

XR UK Action Circle, sit within the Operations Circle of XR UK Support. Action Circle aims to support and empower rebels across the movement (including local groups and affinity groups) to take non-violent direct action with guidance, training and advice. Action Circle continually listens and responds to feedback from the movement and works to create an action strategy in line with XR’s overall strategy and principles and values.
