The Actions Outreach Team
Actions Outreach is a part of XRUK’s Action Support circle, and is dedicated to making sure that actions are supported by outreach to the public, and ensuring that when needed, actions have a Welcome Hub / Outreach Hub to provide attendees and the public with information and advice.
Impact of AO
As we build our groups across the UK in order to bring even more people to Westminster to demand immediate action on the CEE, empowering rebels to have sometimes tough conversations with strangers and members of their community alike is critical to our success.
Official Team Purpose
To ensure that national actions are well-equipped to communicate and connect with members of the public and to provide resources to welcome new people into XR.
The Team and Current Situation
We have two great dedicated rebels in the core team who held the above for our largest ever mass protest in April, The Big One. We will both continue to be involved and would work closely with you, currently we are thinking about how we develop Outreach capabilities across the movement and trainings, workshops and materials needed.
As per the usual ways that XR teams works everyone involved in the work gets a full say on everything - so you will too - and we will look to add more people to the team with specific remits, or skills, as the development of future plans progresses.
The ‘Internal Coordinator’ or IC Role
The IC has the job of ensuring that the team is healthy and that it is achieving its mandate
We look forward to hearing from you if you’d like to consider this - there is no commitment in applying it’s just a means to get in touch and start a conversation so please come say Hi if this sounds like it might be fore you =)
