Meeting Facilitator

Meeting Schedule: Weekly
Essential Skills: Good communication skills, Facilitation skills, Good understanding of inclusivity and accessibility, and XRUK’s Ways of Working
Desired Skills: Experience in facilitating meetings in XRUK circles
Accessibility considerations:Open to all, but meetings are on Zoom so a stable internet connection is needed. You will also need to communicate verbally and use a screen and keyboard.

Systems & Cultures (S&C) is looking for a consistent facilitator for our weekly meetings. If you are able to attend the weekly meetings (timings above) on time, have the relevant skills and are keen to support the team and learn more about the work of the groups helping to support, develop, grow and maintain the systems and cultures of XRUK, we’d love to hear from you!


A facilitator will:

  • use their skills and facilitation tools to ensure the meeting runs smoothly
  • use the XRUK Facilitation process and invoke the appropriate process for decision making
  • keep time to ensure the meeting doesn’t overrun unnecessarily
  • be mindful of inclusivity and accessibility
  • liaise with the IC about the running order of agenda items


  • trained in XRUK facilitation
  • active listening and time keeping


  • Experience with XR or with another organisation with similar objectives
  • Experience in XRUK facilitation is desirable but not necessary, as training can be arranged


  • XRUK Facilitation training can be arranged if necessary.
  • You will be supported by the Internal Coordinator and Group Admin of the team in this role.


  • Gain a greater understanding of our organisational system and how our teams support, develop and maintain XR’s culture and values
  • Improve your facilitation skills
  • Self-satisfaction in knowing you are supporting us to get the UK government to meet our three demands and live on a habitable planet.
