XR Deep Water is a campaign and actions group that tells the truth about climate change and the resulting flooding and drought. We raise awareness, reach out to the public to grow XR and form alliances with other groups outside of XR.
We are looking for keen Newsletter writers to create and amplify our messaging. Some experience is preferred - talk to us about support and upskilling.
Full 'onboarding' will be provided if you are brand new to XR so this is an excellent springboard to get more involved in Deep Water and XR.
The role can be shared between more than one person, reducing the time commitment necessary.
What you'll do:
- Craft engaging and informative newsletters that resonate with our audience.
- Research and develop compelling content ideas.
- Write clear, concise and error-free copy.
- Work collaboratively with the XR Deep Water team.
- Analyse newsletter performance and make recommendations for improvement.
What we're looking for:
- Great writing and editing skills.
- A passion for raising awareness about the climate and nature emergency including extreme weather events and their consequences.
- Ideally experience with newsletter writing or content creation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
