A good press release can make or break an action. If XR gets good media coverage, there's usually a good press officer behind it! If you take this role, you will liaise with the XR Cymru Actions team to create press releases for actions (templates provided) and send them to Welsh journalists (contacts also provided). You may also do shout-outs in our group chats for spokespeople if they're requested. (You won't be expected to give interviews yourself!) We may only send out a press release once every month or two, so for most of your time in the role you would have no commitments at all! The press officer is part of the small but welcoming Cymru Media and Messaging Team, so don't hesitate to apply if you want to make new friends.
