Essential Skills: Experience with recruitment (preferably of volunteers), idea generation, communication, lateral thinking, ability to work independently

Accessibility considerations:You will need to verbally communicate and use Zoom and a computer. Most disabilities are no barrier.

Do you have experience with recruiting volunteers outside XR? And/or do you have experience in HR or recruitment generally? Do you have lots of ideas about how it could be done better? Do you want to support XRUK to get more done to work towards a habitable planet? Then this is the role for you!

Many people support XR but do not realise that we don't just need activists, but also specialists, such as legal, media, IT, fundraising and management people.

You will be part of the friendly and supportive Movement Pathway team, which coordinates recruitment and integration of volunteers into XRUK teams.

You will work on a short-term project (about 3 months) to improve the way XRUK finds volunteers to be part of the central teams of the movement. After the project ends you could move onto other roles in the movement.

Key skills include:

  • Brainstorming
  • Asking questions to challenge our approach
  • Talking to a range of people and being willing to gently challenge them in a constructive way

Work when you like, hours are flexible. You may need to attend meetings of other teams by arrangement. Movement Pathway team meetings are at 1pm on Mondays, but you won't need to be there every week).

You don't have to have any experience with XRUK, as full training will be provided. In fact a fresh pair of eyes would be useful! But attending the Foundation Programme will be useful.

You will need to agree to our Principles and Values, like any XRUK volunteer.
