The role of Communications Lead is crucial to spreading the word about XRUK events and actions across the movement.
As a key point in the structure you'll be the link between different teams and circles, helping them communicate and enabling the smooth flow of information.
Are you familiar with tools such as Signal, Telegram and Mattermost or willing to learn how to use them?
Are you skilled at monitoring a number of comms platforms including email, and identifying relevant posts?
You will be forwarding appropriate comms to the Relationships circle and responding to some messages yourself on behalf of the circle; ensuring any content planned for broadcasts, emails and social media is accurate. You will create weekly summary updates of Relationships' work/projects to share with the UK Media & Messaging circle.
This role requires experience with online communications and excellent levels of organisation. Training in particular platforms can be provided. This role can be done completely remotely.

Purpose
The circle is contactable across and outside of the organism with clear outlines of what the team does and who to contact.
Accountabilities
- Answering or forwarding online communication requests to this team. E.g. the circle’s email account.
- Checking other external communications channels such as a Mattermost Reception.
- Creating regular summary updates of the team’s work/projects to share with other groups.
