The Outreach Team
Outreach is dedicated to making sure that actions and events are supported by outreach to the public and specific audiences. We do this by training volunteers to perform outreach, producing flyers, and making outreach material available to the movement.
The Team and Current Situation
We are a small team, but aiming to grow. We're currently working towards delivering Outreach at the upcoming 'Restore Nature Now' march to mobilise people into more action later in the summer.
As per the usual ways that XR teams works everyone involved in the work gets a say on everything - so you will too - and we will look to add more people to the team with specific remits, or skills, as the development of future plans progresses.
The ‘Internal Coordinator’ or IC Role
The Internal Coordinator stewards the team, supports members to achieve their roles, and sets priorities. We looking to recruit one (or two, in a roleshare) people to hold the team together and shepherd the team and our pool of Outreach volunteers towards successful outreach. The previous IC is still around in XR and is available for handovers. The IC role generally needs a little bit of experience of how XR works, but mostly you should be organised and a good team-player.
We look forward to hearing from you if you’d like to consider this - there is no commitment in applying it’s just a means to get in touch and start a conversation so please come say Hi if this sounds like it might be fore you :)
