The Outreach Team
Outreach is dedicated to making sure that actions and events are supported by outreach to the public and specific audiences. We do this by training volunteers to perform outreach, producing flyers, and making outreach material available to the movement.
The Team and Current Situation
We are a small team of four, but growing. We're looking to expand the scope of work for the team to include different types of outreach and mobilisation. This is being worked out currently. If you're interested in coordinating outreach, we can discuss the changes with you.
As per the usual ways that XR teams works everyone involved in the work gets a full say on everything - so you will too - and we will look to add more people to the team with specific remits, or skills, as the development of future plans progresses.
Volunteer Coordinator
We have a pool of a few hundred volunteers who are interested in Outreach and have various experience/training. Some of them are more engaged than others, and we naturally want to help each of them to get involved in whatever way they can. We need someone to 'look after' this list of people, use our tools to keep in touch with them (using bulk email, group chats, etc.), ensure they are aware of upcoming training opportunities, and work with Events coordinator to mobilise the volunteers into supporting local/national actions with Outreach.
Purpose:
A UK-wide network of people able to do outreach is maintained.
