The XRUK Systems and Cultures team (S&C) is looking for candidates for the Internal Coordinator role (both of the current holders' terms are expiring in September). Role sharing is encouraged for this role, and we invite candidates to apply alone or as a pair.
The Internal Coordinator (IC) stewards the team in the circle’s immediate and longer term priorities in alignment with the current Strategy. In Systems and Cultures this includes supporting and periodically reviewing the work of its roles and subcircles, identifying areas for potential development and filling roles where necessary.
The S&C membership is made up of External Coordinators (ECs) representing the different subcircles (and roles) working hard to fulfill different areas of the S&C mandate (link below). Their work contributes to ensuring we have the systems and the culture to sustain our movement so we can achieve Our Demands while abiding by the Principles and Values.
This role would suit someone who is a good team organiser, who finds it rewarding to help others play to their strengths and to work together to be far greater than the sum of our parts.
You should be comfortable using a computer, using message platforms (we mainly use Mattermost) and using/creating shared documents.
There will be a full handover and an arrangement can be made to offer an opportunity to shadow the current IC(s) for a period, to help you grow into the role. We can also provide admin support and training for the use of platforms we use, if required.
