The Next Big Thing Weavers 1 - Internal Coordinator

The Weavers Circle for the first phase of The Next Big Thing (TNBT) was mandated by the XRUK Action Circle in August 2025. This action relating to the first phase is currently planned for December 2025.

Weavers Circles are intended to enable the collaboration between XRUK mandated circles. The XRUK mandated circles support all the anticipated functions required to deliver a typical action; the Weavers Circle enables these circles to collaborate closely and in a fast-paced environment.

In addition to the basic Internal Coordinator responsibilities, this role is also considered to be the person bottom-lining the whole action (we informally refer to them as the Action Lead) and will be required to report to the Action Circle, as per the mandate, and also to link to the Operations Circle, providing progress updates and requests for support.

Under the Weavers policy this role cannot be shared, however the TNBT Phase 1 Weavers Circle is mandated to set up shadows for all key roles, including IC. All applicants are expected to have read and understood the policy.

This role will be expected to recruit the other members of the Weavers team whilst there are vacancies.

Meeting times: To be determined for Weavers circle, reports to Actions (Tue 3-4:30) and Ops (Mon 2:30-4:30 or Fri 12:30-1:30)

XR UK Action Circle

Location: XR UK (UK Wide)

The UK Action Circle is responsible for formulating and implementing the UK actions strategy, in line with the UK movement strategy. The Circle exists to empower, support and equip rebels everywhere to carry out actions in a decentralised manner. Action Circle receives proposals for UK-wide actions from the movement and supports them with networking and resources. In times of UK mass mobilisations such as Rebellions or The Big One, Action Circle holds and weaves together the overall planning. Please note! Due to the nature of this space, all applicants applying for roles will need to be vouched for.
