Meeting Time:Monday 12pm-2pm, and Friday 10am-12pm
Meeting Format:Conference call
Meeting Schedule:Both meetings are mandatory, plus there are additional meetings throughout the week as needed
Essential Skills:Knowledge of XRUK and its Self-Organising System, experience in an XR Region or Nation, administration and organisational skills. Familiar with Zoom. Familiar with the Hub and Mattermost.

There will be a phased handover for this role. The past ICs and the existing support team will be available for support

The Hive is the democratic heart of XRUK, where representatives from the Nations, Regions, Community Groups and UK-wide Circles come together to support the organisation - and we coordinators to hold the space. This is a monumental task, so we highly encourage role sharing. This role is ideal for people with current and past experience of the Hive, such as former R&N coordinators. The current ICs will be available for a phased handover.

** Hive Purpose & Accountabilities **

    Hold XR UK’s shared purpose within the global XR movement, supporting it to achieve its 3 demands in the UK.

  • Defining the purpose of XR UK, and working with the relevant circles to define the processes by which this is updated.
  • Facilitating a regenerative resolution to any mandate overlaps between our sub-circles.
  • Deciding how resources are shared within XR UK.
  • Growing and empowering XR UK through active decentralisation.
  • Facilitating the collaboration of Rebels within and between the UK Nations (Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland) and Regions (within England).
  • Facilitating effective communication across the XR UK movement.
  • Representing the Nations, Regions and Community Groups in XRUK decision-making.
  • Holding the relationship between XRUK and XR Global Support, via the Regional Liaisons Circle in XR Global Support.
