XRUK GDPR & Security are looking for someone who can make our IT security better for both individual volunteers, and centrally on the services we use and provide. This will be someone who understands best practice and how to communicate well to a wide range of people.
You will be working collaboratively with people across our range of campaigning teams and local groups.
You will have experience of working in people centred organisation, in a friendly and cooperative way.
You will also help with writing web pages, procedures, writing up reports, and setting up reviews, so people know what they have to do, and we re-visit them to offer encouragement and support.
You will be familiar with the technical language used in the following areas (ideally at least two):
Identity and access managementInformation security risk identification & prioritisationInternet and communications securityPrivacy and data protectionWeb application security
At the end of the day you will have helped us act effectively, taking away the dangers of weak security.

Essential Skills
IT security for end users on a wide range of devices
Confident at communicating on technical topics in English in writing or by voice, ideally both

Need to verbally communicate and use a screen and keyboard

Purpose:
To drive XR’s digital strategy, ensuring that we have secure and effective platforms to communicate and inform.
Accountabilities:
Providing digital support and documentation for XR individuals and groups
Learning about digital needs, problems, and current solutions throughout XR
Creating and maintain infrastructure for public-facing online platforms
Providing advice and assistance on digital security and legal issues
Setting up, maintaining and supporting digital communication platforms to fill needs within XR, in accordance with digital strategy and culture
